- MacGillivray's Warbler (Oporornis tolmiei). Closely
related to Mourning and Connecticut Warblers of the eastern
U.S. Photographed in my Phoenix backyard.
- Orange-crowned Warbler (Vermivora celata). Common in
winter in the AZ lowlands. Photos made in my backyard and
at the Gilbert Water Ranch, AZ.
- Ovenbird (Seiurus aurocapillus). A rare eastern stray to
AZ. Photographed at the Desert Botanical Gardens in
Phoenix.
- Painted Redstart (Myioborus pictus). An AZ specialty,
usually found in the higher elevations. This bird was a
rare find at the Water Ranch, Gilbert, AZ.
- Yellow Warlber (Dendroica petechia). Widespread species
in the U.S. Nests in riparian areas in AZ. This recently
fledged bird was photographed at thee Boyce Thompson
Arboretum near Superior, AZ.
- Yellow-rumped Warbler (Dendroica coronata). Abundant in
AZ lowlands in winter. This is the western "Audubon's"
counterpart to the eastern "Myrtle" form. All images made
at the Gilbert Water Ranch.
