Northern Cardinal & Pyrrhuloxia

- Northern Cardinal (Cardinalis cardinalis). Common and widespread in most of the U.S., the range in AZ is limited to the wetter and more vegaetated areas.

- Pyrrhuloxia (Cardinalis sinuatus). Sometimes called the "desert cardinal," it is limited to the driest parts of AZ and only overlaps with its more familiar cousin in a few places.
