Black-bellied Whistling-Duck
Black-bellied Whistling-Duck (Dendrocygna autumnalis) was forrnerly called a "tree duck" because it nests in trees. A southern specialty with scattered distribution. Often seen in large flocks in wet meadows and rice fields. All images made at Water Ranch, Gilbert, AZ.
